OK, I have to admit that I saw the new Star Wars movie and unlike the other 2 earlier ones (not the ones made back in the 80s) I really liked this one. It was well balanced between a story and fight scenes. I also liked the fact that it gave me the background I wanted for the 3 Star War movies from the 80s. How many people here have seen all 6 Star War movies? Did you like the 'original' ones from the 80s or the new ones from the late 90s to 2005. Who is your favorite character? I like R2D2 and C3PO. Star (Wars) LOL

I think that George Lucas really hit the juckpot with this last Star Wars movie. It made over $50 million in the first day... WOW Star

Well, I saw this movie. I am mostly impressed by the grand ambitions of the Star Wars series, to create their own universe and heroes and creatures and the political plot is quite thick in the first movies and one would swear a coule of lines from the latest movie were a direct criticism of opur current U.S. president, replace "general Grievous" with "Bin Laden" and you'll see what I mean. I'm happy the movies have come full circle and this one did a decent job of tying the story together. I still think the first 3 movies are much more inspired and unique somehow. The most recent three, especially the one in the middle, failed to grap my interest the same way. The third was actually good. But his dialogs are absolutely horrendous, Yoda almost turned into a parody of himself in the latest movie where he could not utter a normal setnence (compares this with the Emprie Strikes Back e.g. where he actually talks normally half the time or so). Also Anakin's transformation was a little too quick, from informing the counsil of the emperror's plans to killing innocent children within 15 minutes it just a little too much of going over to the dark side for my taste. But all criticism aside I really enjoyed the movie and I was moved by it, in a way and I recommend it to anyone who wants to see a good Sci-Fi and I will definitely sit down and watch all 6 when they're out on a dvd set.
cheers

Actually I was going to replace "general Grievous" with "Georhe W. Bush" and the Republic with the republic of USA (what a coinsidence huh that George is a republican! LOL) and you will get a perfect picture of today's world. Star

I have seen all but the third film. I unfortunately didn't get to see it in the cinimas here, but I am getting it for Christmas on DVD, so will get to watch it in the week or so after Christmas. Can't wait.

For any real StarWars fans, I strongly recommend the books. They are way better than the films, and there are tons more books both in the past and future of the current film set to be read.
